1. Texture

The days are gone where minimal smooth finishes are present throughout our interior but instead designers are predicting the breakthrough of natural textures that create a more homely feel, especially with homeowners spending ever more time amongst their interior, the need to have a cosy sanctuary that allows you to unwind and relax is ever more prominent.

There are many different ways to add texture to your interior through wall art, scatter cushions and even lighting but our favourite way, of course, is to upholster a tired piece of furniture that needs to be given a new lease of life!

2. Natural Materials

Another major breakthrough for 2024 is the use of natural materials and shades of brown. Anna Brockway, the president and cofounder of Chairish, said ‘natural materials are on the rise among our most loved categories including upholstery, painted cabinetry, art, tabletop, jewellery, and decor.

Well Anna, we wouldn't be one to argue! With neutral brown tones also predicted to skyrocket in the New Year we are loving the more relaxed homely vibe that natural furnishings create. If your goal for the New Year is to embrace sustainability, seize the opportunity to address both your interior needs and resolution simultaneously by exploring our collection of sustainable products!

3. Embrace Your Personal Style

Expressionism is in, with interior designers advocating for personalised spaces, urging individuals to create a unique look that goes beyond replicating trends from Pinterest. As advocates for bringing unique fabrics and soft furnishings to the market, this is a trend we really believe in and one that will no doubt stand the test of time.

Throughout 2024, we will be improving and adding to our fabric collections but for now, why not take a look at our latest collections.

4. Goodbye Grey!

The shift towards earthy hues signifies a desire for warmth and comfort, moving away from the cooler, more neutral tones of the past. Embracing the richness of browns and beiges allows for a versatile palette that can be easily complemented with other vibrant or muted colours, providing a timeless and inviting ambiance in any home. This departure from the dominance of grey reflects a broader trend toward creating spaces that evoke a sense of tranquillity and connection with nature, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for both residents and guests alike.

As always, we firmly believe in promoting thoughtful choices rather than blindly swapping things based on a 'trending' list but we hope that this guide gives you a little inspiration. The ultimate aim should always be to gather what resonates with your personal preferences, irrespective of passing trends so that you can create a space that reflects you.
